I’m loving that jumpsuits are all the rage for the Fall, considering this trend carries over from the Summer rompers that I was obsessed with.  A one piece is such a versatile addition, especially in a neutral color.  I spotted this one from DVF a couple of years ago and loved that the shift to a longer sleeve, makes this the perfect transition piece from Summer to Fall.  The fact that it was a deep navy was a bonus in my sea of basic black.

Anyone who knows me is well aware of my scarf obsession.  They far outweigh any other accessory in my closet and usually are a part of my outfit at least 3 times a week.  I love the fact that with this single addition of color, texture, warmth or a print, everything is pulled together.  Here are some of my top picks to wrap up in 🙂

Scarves: (From top left to right) ~ Love Quotes, Theodora & Callum, Leigh & Luca birds, Green plaid, Chan Luu grey, Chan Luu, Asos infinity, Missoni, Asos cable knit, Chan Luu olive, BurberryJ. Crew.

Emerald City

Green is one of those colors that in my closet, never gets enough credit.  For some reason it has never been my first or even second.  I think it stems from a childhood fear of Oscar the grouch 🙂  Fortunately I have conquered my emerald demons and fell in love with my first head to toe green piece.

Laid back

We are so fortunate to be a block from Central Park.  I love to run and even though I thrive in the hustle and bustle of the city, the serenity of the park is a welcome contrast.  My husband and I often take walks after work and today, I really tapped into everything I love.  Worn in ripped denim, striped top, favorite scarf and a leopard accessory, I really felt like myself walking through the park today.  It always takes time to adjust to a new city, regardless of how fabulous it is and wrapped in some of my all time favorite pieces, my walk today was truly peaceful.

Hello Moto

moto

I have recently been obsessed with finding the perfect moto bootie.  With so many options, it really can be a daunting task finding one that ticks all the boxes.  Heel height, embellishments and material are the top 3 things I look for and to me, the quintessential color has to be black.  (Although there are some amazing brown options).

After some reconnaissance work for several weeks, here are some of my top picks.

(Clockwise from top left) – Marc by Marc Jacobs, Just Fab, Report Juliee boot, Ash Titan boot, Sam Edelman Nolan bootie, Steve Madden bootie, Rag & Bone Harper bootie, Just Fab boot, Steve Madden boot, Wanted bootie.

Gray Pride

When I was in middle school, monochromatic outfits were all the rage. Perfectly matched leggings, socks, shoes and an over-sized tee (with a side knot tied no less) pretty much summed up my middle school fashion sense.  Today, I still love the idea of wearing a neutral color head to toe-minus the matching scrunchie and tube socks 🙂.  My go to color is usually black, but it’s lighter sibling is my current obsession…gray.

To further add to my personal denim wall (yes I need therapy), I began my search for the perfect gray jean.  I can report back that 50 shades of grey is not just a best seller, it’s also the current state of the denim world.  I ended up falling in love with J Brand’s version and already knew loved the fit.  These were a close second.

Electric

electric bend

I have been so tempted recently to cross over to the dark side after tearing through the pages of every publication’s September issue.  I love the influx of rich tones that run through each brand in some form or another.  However, pops of electric tones seem to be hanging on from the warmer months, and I have to say….oh yes!  I love the hot pink and electric blue against the pure white of a crisp blazer, but can also see these vibrant colors pairing nicely with the Merlot, deep green and noir’s the changing season will inevitably bring.
